Day 22

Well, we finally got the yoga X disk. It is about 1.5 hours long and I was done around 40mins. I got to break into it like all the others I guess. It was really tough. One more week until I measure myself...can't wait to see the results. I believe I've lost about 13 lbs already. Guessing most of it was due to diet. I was really eating like crap before. I have definitely noticed loss of inches. Was able to fit into a shirt I stopped wearing because it was getting too tight. Trodding on!!

day 10

Yesterday i did the plyometrics and I am still not up to speed on it. Geezes that kills me. I think my fallen arches are not ready for that yet. Today I did arms, back and abs. I can't weight for the weights I ordered to come in. I am working with weights that are too light or a little too heavy because I don't want to spend the time adjusting the weight on the little dumbell we have. So I up or down the reps accordingly. I am still inspired to push on. Don't have the yoga X yet but I have my fingers crossed. Every time I feel a little down I watch the P90X infomercial - LOL. Thanks all.

Day 8

Hello world. Well I haven't blogged in a few days. Dads been visitiing but I still mananged to get my workouts in...except for day 4 - Yoga X. The DVD did not work. My wife contacted our seller and they said they would be happy to send us a replacement disk. I hope it gets here before Thursday. Seems like alot has happened since my last blog. At my wife's urging, I have moved my workouts to our garage and created a more permanent pull up bar. It was actually just a little cheaper than the door pullup bar we bought. We have returned that. I ordered a pair of 5s 10s,15s,20s,25s barbells online. Seemed to be cheaper than anthing I oculd find in the store and craigs list was just a mismash of weights. I think I need to install another set of lights in the garage though. My diet has been going well except for the fact that I don't seem to be eating all the food I am supposed to. I will try to be more diligent. I've already lost about 7 lbs and my wife is a little jealous. Men seem to drop weight easier but I am looking for that weight wall to hit soon. Personally I pretty much ache most of the time but I feel pretty good. I feel like my body is reshaping and I am not too disappointed when I can't keep up with the dvd. One day at a time. On a good note, I still play volleyball and I think I already see improvedment...of course 7 lbs is a lot when jumping but even though I feel really tired from all this training, I jump quite a bit higher, I seem faster, and my warm up time is reduced dramatically. Of course that was last week and over the weekend. Looking to see how it improves over this next week and over the course of the training. As long as I see improvement in volleyball, I don't think I will get down too much on myself.

Day 3 Shoulders and Arms

I did a much better job tracking my reps and weight this time. I will create an excel spreadsheet and record the data and plot a graph over time. I was able to complete the entire workout, but I'm sure I did less weight than the DVD. One note, is that it sucked having to constantly change the wieght on my weight system. I will look on craigs list this weekend and see if any one is selling something I could use. I did much better on abX workout although the rollup V crunches are still too much for me. Whew, abs are singing right now. Til tomorrow.

Day 2 Plyometrics

They should just call this the Jump routine from Hell. I was only able to get thru the firs 40mins of this. After that I could barely lift my feet off the ground. This from a guy who plays vball for 2 to 3 days a week. I ended up marching in place for the last 20mins. At least I have something to strive for I guess. Can't expect to be able to do it well the first time.

Day 1

Holy mother of Pearl. I just finished my initial work out. I guess weakling is a good place to start. Had to do most of my push ups on my knees, use the chair for the pull ups and apparently I have no abs.. I guess the only bright spot was that I broke one of the resistance bands...I must be stronger than I thought. My wife (Melanie) told me that the bands probably wouldn't hold. I guess I will go off to sportmart and get some weights today. Props to Melanie for helping me figure out the diet. Would have taken me much longer to try to figure it out. I didn't keep track of weights or reps. I will try to do better next time.
